When updating the Chrome browser to version 121, the built-in add-on that Chrome uses to display PDF documents has stopped showing inserted fields.
This affects the printing of course certificates in version 121 of Chrome or Edge, which are based on PDF documents saved in formats other than PDF/A. Printing course certificates based on PDF/A, printing from other browsers, or printing directly from Adobe Acrobat works as before.
Learn more about the PDF/A format here:

See examples of how PDF documents open in different browser versions below.
What can I do?
This is a browser issue. Until a possible fix is available from Google, we recommend replacing certificates that do not work with a version saved in the PDF/A format. See descriptions below.
If you have created the certificate in Adobe Acrobat:
https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/hub/how-to-convert-pdf-to-pdfa.html
If you have created the certificate in, for example, Word or PowerPoint, PDF/A is available when exporting:
Chrome version 120: Here the fields are displayed as normal:
Chrome version 121: Note that names, titles, etc. are not displayed in this version.
This also applies to Edge, which is based on the same version (121):
Chrome version 121 - PDF/A: Here the fields are displayed as normal:
In FireFox, everything works as normal:
Also in Adobe's PDF reader (Acrobat), the fields are displayed correctly:
